Library and Information Technology Equipment

圖書館坐擁群山綠野，遠眺台灣海峽，秀麗美景盡收眼底；本館內設有期刊區、參考書區、資料庫檢索區、多媒體視聽區、中西文書庫區、團體討論室、團體視聽室、密集書庫區與一間有100席次獨立座位的閱覽室。本館典藏圖書資源以醫學、護理、人文為主的學術圖書館。

The location of the Library affords a panoramic view of green hills and Taiwan Strait is in the near distance. The library houses a section for compact shelving, a large reading room for 100 seating. There are also sections designated for Periodicals, Reference, Database search and Multimedia. Mackay Medical College Library is an academic library specializing resources in medicine, nursing and humanities in Chinese language as well as English.

 

綜合自動化系統服務：

創館之際，本館即建置圖書館自動化系統、電子資源管理系統、遠端認證系統、隨選視訊系統、門禁管理系統與監視系統，各系統認證與校方單一帳號政策施行同步。上線至今本館持續改進各系統運作並規劃中長程計畫以提供最佳化服務與讀者。圖書館網站則朝以讀者為導向的服務發展，規劃未來提供圖書資源探索服務，增進讀者資訊檢索便利性並讓圖書資源發揮最大效益。

Integrated automation system service:

From the outset, the library has implemented an integrated automation system, e-resources management system, autoRPA, video on demand, access control and surveillance systems. All databases as well as campus personal business account are accessible by a single ID number. Many thoughts have been given to designing a webpage that is more concise, user friendly and easier to interface. The library staff is committed to constant improving, upgrading and implementing various systems to provide best services to our users.

 

圖書館資源導覽服務：

本館積極建立讀者與圖書館交流平台，引領讀者步入書香園地，每年均舉辦新生導覽、新進教師資源解說、電子資源教育課程、世界書香日系列活動、圖書館週系列活動、書展與多媒體資源播放等等，並積極參與國家圖書館舉辦各式推廣活動；期許讀者在參與的各項活動中進而具備良好資訊素養能正確蒐集處理及應用圖書資源。

Library resources orientation service:

To facilitate interaction with users, the library provides annual library orientations to new students; a resource guide to new faculty members and regularly conducts digital resources seminars. The library also actively participates in World Book Day; Library Week, and various promotional activities directed by the National Library. Book exhibits and multimedia playing are also part of library’s effort to nurture information literacy.

 

館際合作服務：

於擴展服務方面，本館持續加入中華民國圖書館學會、中華圖書資訊館際合作協會、醫學圖書館組織、NDDS 館際互借組織、OCLC 管理成員館與北二區教學資源中心，並積極與校外同異質性圖書館簽署館際互借合作以擴大各校圖書資源利用率進行館際間交流，本館分別與馬偕醫院 、馬偕醫護管理專科學校、陽明交通大學、台北藝術大學、淡江大學、真理大學、聖約翰大學與輔仁大學圖書館簽署館際互借協議書，彼此師可赴對方圖書館借書。

Interlibrary Cooperation Service:

The library is a member of the Library Association of the Republic of China, the Interlibrary Cooperation Association, Medical Library Association, the NDDS Inter-Institutional Association, the Online Computer Library Center Organization (OCLC) and the Second Northern Taiwan Teaching Resource Center. To extend the resources for our users, the library has also established a reciprocal borrowing agreement with ten academic libraries in Taiwan.

 

未來，本館將持續進行館際間交流互惠並積極尋求館際合作模式進行，實體館藏部分持續增加館藏典藏，網站虛擬服務朝以讀者為導向的服務發展，將提供圖書資源探索服務，使本校讀者擁有便利快捷豐沛圖書資源可運用。

Looking forward, the library endeavors to strengthen interlibrary cooperation, expand resources and increase printed collections. Based on reader-oriented websites virtual services, we look forward to providing more library resources exploration services.

資訊中心與數位服務：

資訊中心提供資訊系統服務以滿足全校教職員生的教學、研究及行政服務需求，負責全校資訊政策執行與統合資訊資源之開發與運用，並維持資訊系統之穩定運作，提供全校師生整合性數位教學平台、研究平台與行政自動化等各項服務。

Information Technology Center and Digital Services:

Information Technology Center provides information systems and services to meet the school staff and students in teaching, research and administrative service’s needs. We are also responsible for development of information policy and integration of information resources, and maintain the stable operation of information systems providing integrated digital teaching platform, research platform and administrative automation and other services.

 

數位教學平台：

資訊中心建置完善的Portal數位教學平台，鼓勵老師將課程數位化，並有虛擬教室提供教師對學生進行教材管理、作業批改、線上討論回應及成績管理等重要數位服務。另外建置學生學習歷程平台(e-portfolio)、提供課程之課業輔導平台以及提供導師之導生輔導系統等資訊服務。

Digital Teaching Platform:

Information Technology Center builds the Portal System of integrated Digital Teaching Platform to encourage teachers to digitize their courses. Also, the Virtual Classroom System provides teachers the management of class materials, homework correcting, online discussion and responses, grades management, and other important digital services. Other systems include Student e-Learning Portfolio, Course Counseling System, and Instructor Mentoring System.

 

軟硬體資訊服務：

資訊中心建置完善的資訊機房，包含先進私有雲之虛擬平台服務系統，提供教學及研究等服務，並達到節能省碳之成效。資訊中心並建置完善的多媒體教學電腦教室，包含遠距教學功能、廣播、視訊等教學設備，可滿足學生數位化上課的需求。另外建置網路休閒室，配有完善的電腦及網路設備，提供學生上課之外之網路應用設備選擇。為尊重智慧財產權，本校每年均提供經費由資訊中心採購全校廣為應用的授權電腦軟體，以服務本校教職員工生及符合智慧財產權需求。

Hardware and software services:

With advanced virtual platform service system, the private clouds of data center provide services such as teaching and research. It achieves the effectiveness of energy-saving and carbon reduction. We build the multimedia computer classrooms including distance learning function, radio, video and other teaching equipment to meet student demand for digital courses. We also build a network lounge with rich computer and network equipment to provide Internet applications for students. To respect the intellectual property rights, the Information Centre offers authorized computer software for staff and students.

 

校園網路服務：

中心致力於提供校園優良網路服務，確保校園網路服務穩定與高可用性，並不斷針對校園資訊安全建立安全防護及提供充分的校園網路頻寬。服務包含校園無線網路、有線網路、網路安全控管及其跨校漫遊網路服務。資訊中心並充分建置宿舍網路軟硬體設施，每位住宿學生均享有各自穩定專用網路埠，提供穩定之網路資訊服務。

Campus Network Services:

Based on safety and security, we provide the adequate bandwidth of network. Center is committed to providing high quality campus network services with stability and high availability. Service includes the campus wireless network, wired network, network security control, and intercollegiate roaming network services. The dormitory network software and hardware facilities are fully built. Each student has an individual stable accommodation dedicated network port to provide stable network services.

 

校務行政自動化服務：

為使行政業務整體資訊數位化作業革新，持續發展行政業務自動化作業，達成標準化之資料流程，提升各行政單位整體執行效率以及各處室業務電腦化作業之技術協助與諮詢。資訊中心持續不斷地建置新服務系統，以改善服務品質，使全校教職員生皆能享受方便而有效率的數位化服務，並提升行政效率。

School administration automation services:

In order to improve the overall efficiency of the administration, we build the standardization of data flow programs, as well as the offices of business computerization. We continue to build a service system to improve service quality, so that the school staff and students could enjoy convenient and efficient digital services.
